The World Bank was selected to serve as IFFIm's Treasury Manager based on its successful track record as an issuer and investor in the international capital markets, and its role as the world's largest global development institution.
Gavi programme implementation
IFFIm funds immunisation programmes through Gavi, the Vaccine Alliance, a public-private partnership of the major stakeholders in immunisation set-up in 2000 to increase access to life-saving vaccines in the world’s poorest countries.
