Millennium Development Goal 4  

With full funding, Gavi support for increased immunisation will make significant contributions to achieving Millennium Development Goal 4 to reduce child mortality.  

About Gavi, the Vaccine Alliance

The International Finance Facility for Immunisation Company (IFFIm) funds immunisation programmes through Gavi, the Vaccine Alliance - an historic alliance of major stakeholders in immunisation which has saved more than five million lives since it was created in 2000.


Gavi, the Vaccine Alliance members include a wide range of development partners: developing country and donor governments, WHO, UNICEF, the World Bank, the vaccine industry (from industrialised and developing countries), research and technical agencies, civil society organisations, the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation and other philanthropists.
